About FOGS

FOGS is an independent, incorporated, not for profit organisation of Gallery supporters committed to developing and supporting the Manning Regional Art Gallery and promoting the growth and development of visual arts in the Manning. Some of our members are practising artists while others are not. We have no paid officials and have relied on the generosity of volunteers, sponsors and donors for over 20 years since the gallery’s inception.

As a registered charity, FOGS conducts fundraising activities and contributes towards Gallery improvements. FOGS also works in conjunction with the FOGS Art Fund Trust, a registered charity administered by three independent trustees. The current trustees of The Art Fund Trust are:

  • Mr Paul Stack, Managing Director, Stacks Finance, Taree
  • Mr Jack Broadfoot, Partner, McPherson Burgess & Associates, Taree
  • Dr Philip Walkom, Gallery Patron

Together, FOGS and the Art Fund Trust organise and fund the biennial Manning Art Prize, a high-profile event attracting entries from Australian artists. Donations to the FOGS Art Fund Trust are tax deductible.

Through the hard work and support of FOGS, working cooperatively with The Greater Taree City Council and the Gallery directors, the Manning Regional Art Gallery has attained a reputation as a growing and dynamic regional gallery showing quality local, national and international art.
